A TAXIMETER IS A MONEY MACHINE.
REFURBISHED METERS
The 2030's Taximeter are unmatched for their reliability and superior design, and yet they are priced for the for the smallest budget.
The Pulsar 2030R features a bright display a fast thermal printer and simple operation. The meter can be interfaced with automobile electronics or older transducer systems via an external module called a "Sendiv" that allows conditioning and dividing functions without opening the meter's shell for adjustment setting. It makes the vehicle's information source and the meter's computer talk to each other properly.
** Please keep in mind orders over 5 meters can take up to 2 weeks to be shipped out. ***
The "Silent 620" taximeter is a fully integrated printing taximeter that can be programmed with "EaseLink" Centrodyne's proprietary firmware for an easy interface with most computerized dispatch systems.
Optional credit card swipe, and GPS are also integrable.
The thermal printer head in this model (16 characters/line) is capable of a printing speed of 19.2 characters/sec or 1.2 lines/sec. The printer paper is 38mm wide standard calculator thermal paper.

TAXÍMETRO / TAXIMETER / TAXIMÈTRE / TAKSIMETRO
The Taximeter word was first coined from Medieval Latin taxa (“tax, charge”), from Proto-Indo-European base *tag- (“to touch, to handle”), and it is what gives the word Taxi its meaning.

Centrodyne’s newest slim line taximeter, "S700", features a 6 P/B interface, even more vivid display, day/night adjustable intensity, all on a single PCB, packaged in a sleek designer’s case. This new series presents a completely new design, while continuing to uphold Centrodyne’s tradition of developing quality products. The S700 provides a wide range of end-user options.
Some of the more outstanding characteristics of the S700 are:
Understanding a Taximeter installation
To connect a taximeter you need power (+12Volt Battery), ground and the VSS wire.
Vehicle Speed Sensor (VSS)
The vehicle speed sensor, or VSS wire is normally a part of a vehicle's speedometer array.
The VSS wire is used by the vehicle's cruise control to determine the vehicle's speed and it sends a series of pulses, anywhere from 800 to just over 1,000 per mile, and sends these pulses only when the car is in motion.
A Pulse Divider enhance the signal, and it is required when the VSS pulses are to high or too low for the taximeter to read accurate.
If the VSS wire is not hooked up, then the taximeter will not realize that the car is moving at all, and will be unable to track distance.
To find the VSS wire in your car, you can either refer to your car documentation, visit your electric-mechanic garage or ideally your town's meter shop.
Alternatively, VSS signals can be read from the OBD port directly from your car's computer using an OBD-VSS device.
Avoid the hassle AND the risk of finding the analog speed signal from your car with the SLIMKEY OBD.
SLIMKEY OBD will provide the speed signal required for any Taximeter to work with distance.
SLIMKEY OBD is designed to permanently solve the problem of the speedometer sensor on vehicles with CAN BUS systems.
Can't find a VSS signal? Plug the SLIMKEY into the OBD plug on any CAN vehicle and your installation is complete.
The Z059 helps you find the VSS signal-pulse that is required by a Taximeter to understand distance, all you need, is to plug it into the OBD port on any CAN vehicle and your installation is complete.
Please note that generally, vehicles made after 2008 may use the CAN only version. The CAN/ISO unit is intended for use only in older, pre 2008, Asian model vehicles (Toyota, Honda, Nissan, etc.). If you are not sure which model your vehicle requires, please contact us.
Master Pulse Divider by Pulsar Technologies. Multiply, Divide and enhance VSS signals.
This unit receives the speed signal from the vehicle speed sensor and converts them into readable pulses usable by the taximeter.
